2006_31st and Troost Festival
The Troost Avenue Festival is held annually in Kansas City, Missouri to recognize and celebrate the diversity of Troost Avenue and to promote learning and understanding of the area.
The festival includes music, dancing, food, displays by neighborhood associations, faith groups, city services and local artists, and a "coffeehouse" for active dialogue around ten areas of concern - art, community, communications, education, environment, health, justice, resources, science and spirituality.
The Troost Avenue Festival is focused on people who live, work, and worship in the neighborhoods surrounding the Troost, Prospect, and Main Avenues, but all were welcome to participate.
